Brotherhood Winery in Washingtonville, the oldest operating winery in America, is having their 13th Annual grape harvest festival being held Saturday October 3.It is two miles from our Caldwell House Bed and Breakfast. In their newly updated facility free admission, vendors, wine stomping, food, music, pony rides and, of course, wine tours are being offered. www.grapehavestfestival.com 845-496-5449 Another favorite winery in the area is Palaia Vineyards in Highland Mills, which has live music every Thursday through Sunday; www.palaiavineyards .com. - Happily married 24 years to Carmela. We created our bed and breakfast in a 200 year old house twelve years ago. Carmela was born and raised in the Bronx of Italian parents and I was born and rand raised in Westchester of Irish parents. I graduated from Stepinac HS, Providence College, Villanova U, and Fordham U. I was a social worker before becoming an innkeeper and Carmela was a teacher. We have four children and one grandchild.
